Celebrating 20 years of exceptional service

Did you know Disability Hub MN was originally called the Disability Linkage Line? The Department of Human Services, Disability Services Division (DSD), which manages the grant, identified the need for one statewide service over 20 years ago to support people with disabilities.

The Disability Linkage Line launched in 2006 as Minnesota's comprehensive resource for disability-related assistance and expertise. A reliable place to contact for coordinated, up-to-date information to understand one's options and have all of the information needed to make informed decisions.

Starting in 2006, there were six staff who served 7,230 people. In 2025, the Hub served 32,025 people with 41 staff.

The Disability Linkage Line was modeled after the already existing Senior Linkage Line (which is now Minnesota Aging Pathways) which is a free statewide service for older adults and their caregivers. In 2007, the Veterans Linkage Line was launched as a similar type service for Veterans. Disability Hub MN and Minnesota Aging Pathways make up the states MN Aging and Disability Resource Center.

"I have always appreciated the service and representatives at the Hub. They are far and away the best resource for anyone in MN looking for answers to questions regarding disability issues. I always say that if they don't have the answer themselves, then they sure know someone who does! Thank you for all you do. Best wishes." - Hub Customer
